The 3rd China–ASEAN E-Commerce Development Forum Ends on a High Note
Cross-Border Collaboration Poised to Empower Entrepreneurs Across Asia
Bangkok, July 16, 2025 – The 3rd China–ASEAN E-Commerce Development Forum concluded with resounding success, underscoring the growing momentum of regional collaboration in digital trade between Thailand, China, and ASEAN. Held under the umbrella of Mega Show Bangkok 2025 at BITEC Bangna, the forum brought together more than 250+ distinguished participants and over 45+ strategic partners from both the public and private sectors, including key government agencies, e-commerce giants, financial platforms, and tech innovators across Asia.
Jointly organized by COMASIA Limited, China Electronics Chamber of Commerce (CECC), SINOEEX EXPO, TeC e-Business Center, The Thai e-Commerce Association (THECA), and The Office of SMEs Promotion (OSMEP) under the Office of the Prime Minister, the forum served as a regional gateway to explore cutting-edge trends, successful business models, and high-impact strategies shaping the future of cross-border e-commerce.
The forum featured thought-provoking sessions such as :
- Winning the China–ASEAN Market: The New Wave of E-Commerce and Social Commerce
- Scaling Revenue to 1 Billion THB in China Through KOL Strategy
- Influencer Commerce Unlocked: The Power of Next-Gen KOLs
- Global Alliances in Action: ASEAN–China–Global Collaboration
- Empowering Thailand’s Digital Economy with AI and Smart Policies
Senior leaders from Lazada Thailand, Tencent Cloud Thailand under Tencent, WorldFirst – Ant International, Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa), Indonesia-Thai Chamber of Commerce (INTCC), Wuhan PR Association, and Strategic Asia Marketing Alliance (SAMA), along with other regional players, shared key insights on how to navigate the fast-changing digital landscape and unlock opportunities in China–ASEAN trade.
Mr. Peter Cheung, Director of COMASIA Limited, expressed his pride in hosting this regional initiative, stating: “At COMASIA, our mission goes beyond organizing trade shows, we build ecosystems that connect industries, nations, and the future of commerce. The success of this forum underscores the growing momentum between ASEAN and China in shaping the digital trade landscape. By bringing together visionaries, entrepreneurs, and policymakers under one roof, we’re not just hosting an event, we’re laying the foundation for enduring regional partnerships that will drive economic growth and open new frontiers for business in Asia.”
Mr. William Ding, Deputy Secretary-General of CECC and Managing Director of SINOEEX EXPO, emphasized the growing role of China in shaping the digital economy across Asia: “China’s e-commerce infrastructure is one of the most dynamic in the world. But growth happens when we share that infrastructure, when we bring SMEs, startups, and government leaders together to exchange ideas and co-develop solutions. This forum is a strong step in deepening China–ASEAN connectivity and co-creating scalable digital ecosystems that benefit the region as a whole.”
Ms. Kulthirath Pakawachkrilers, CEO of TeC e-Business Center and President of Thai e-Commerce Association, highlighted the forum’s impact for Thai businesses: “This forum has made one thing clear—digital trade, especially through live-commerce, is no longer just a trend, but a vital pathway for Thai entrepreneurs to grow and survive in a competitive global market. The insights shared today offer real direction: how to build presence on Chinese platforms, how to work with KOLs, and how to scale revenue through cross-border e-commerce. As Thailand and China commemorate 50 years of diplomatic ties, this is the time to transform dialogue into concrete action. We must empower our SMEs with knowledge and partnerships that lead directly to export-ready success.”
As Thailand and China mark 50 years of diplomatic relations, this forum captured a timely opportunity to strengthen economic ties through practical engagement. Beyond just policy talk and trend analysis, it created tangible momentum for businesses ready to scale internationally. The energy and alignment seen today among tech enablers, government bodies, and regional entrepreneurs signal that ASEAN–China e-commerce is not just a fast-growing sector, it is the future engine of regional prosperity.
From inspiration to implementation, the 3rd China–ASEAN E-Commerce Development Forum leaves behind more than just ideas. It sets the stage for transformative partnerships, concrete business deals, and a new generation of entrepreneurs ready to lead in the global digital economy.
